Terms of Service

1. The service

FolderPls lets you add labels, properties, notes and relations to your Google Drive files and folders, and search and filter by them, without moving or changing the files themselves.

FolderPls does not store your file contents. Your files stay in your Google Drive; we store only the metadata described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

• You need a Google account and must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher).
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Tell us immediately at the address below if you suspect unauthorised use.
• Personal Google accounts use the Free plan; Google Workspace accounts use the paid plans.

3. Google Drive access

FolderPls uses the Google drive.file permission. It can only access files and folders you select in the Google Picker or create or upload through FolderPls. Within those, FolderPls reads metadata to display and search your files and, only when you ask it to, renames, moves, uploads, creates or deletes items on your behalf.

You can disconnect Google Drive or revoke FolderPls in your Google account at any time. Your use of Google Drive remains subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.

4. Auto-tagging

Auto-tagging suggests labels based on file metadata such as type, folder name and modified date. Suggestions can be wrong; review them before relying on them. Auto-tagging only runs when you start it and is subject to your plan's monthly limit.

5. Plans and payments

• Paid plans are billed in advance through Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record) on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Team plans are billed per seat, with a minimum of 2 seats. Prices and limits are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you in advance and the new price will apply from your next billing period.
• Your statutory consumer rights, including any right of withdrawal under the consumer law that applies to you, are not affected by these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights, including intellectual property rights;
• attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe, scan or bypass our security or plan limits;
• interfere with or overload the service, or access it with bots or scrapers without our permission;
• reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly allows it.

7. Your content and our rights

You keep all rights to your files and to the labels, notes and other metadata you create. You give us permission to store and process that metadata only as needed to provide FolderPls to you.

FolderPls itself — its software, design and brand — belongs to us. These Terms do not give you any rights to it other than to use the service.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using FolderPls and delete your account at any time from the settings in the app. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription you hold personally, permanently removes the metadata we store, revokes our Drive access, and never touches the files in your Google Drive.

We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and let you export your data.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep FolderPls available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue FolderPls, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data, and refund any prepaid, unused period of a paid plan.

10. Disclaimers and liability

FolderPls is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or use.

Our total liability for any claim relating to FolderPls is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for gross negligence or intent, or your mandatory consumer rights.

Indemnification

If you use FolderPls in breach of these Terms or the law and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by e-mail at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then; continuing to use FolderPls afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims before the courts or consumer arbitration committees competent for your place of residence.
