1.1 Account Information

When you sign up for FolderPls using Google authentication, we collect the following information from your Google account:

• User ID (UID)
• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo URL

1.2 Metadata and Organization Data

We store the following metadata to enable FolderPls functionality:

• Labels: Custom labels you create, including label names, colors, and creation timestamps
• Tagged Items: For files and folders you tag, we store:
  • Google Drive file/folder ID (not the file content)
  • File or folder name
  • Item type (file or folder)
  • MIME type (for files)
  • Associated label IDs
  • Parent folder ID in Google Drive
  • Timestamps (when added and last updated)

1.3 Google Drive Access

To provide our service, we request access to your Google Drive through OAuth 2.0. We may temporarily store your Google Drive access token and refresh token to maintain your session. These tokens are encrypted.

Important: We do NOT store your Google Drive files. All files remain in your Google Drive account. We only store file IDs and metadata (labels) that you explicitly add through FolderPls.

1.4 Usage Information

We collect timestamps for account creation, last login, and data updates to improve our service and help maintain security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the FolderPls service
• Enable file and folder labeling and organization
• Allow you to search and filter your Google Drive files
• Maintain your session and authenticate with Google Drive
• Improve our service and user experience
• Help maintain security and prevent unauthorized access

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore. We implement the following security measures:

• Firebase encrypts all data in transit and at rest
• Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account only
• Firestore security rules help restrict access so users can only access their own data
• Google OAuth tokens are encrypted and can be revoked at any time

Your Google Drive files are never stored on our servers. They remain in your Google Drive account, and we only access them through the Google Drive API with your explicit permission.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Google Services: We use Google OAuth and Google Drive API to provide our service. Your interaction with Google services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
• Service Providers: We may use third-party services (such as Firebase) that process data on our behalf, all of which are subject to confidentiality agreements.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all your data through the FolderPls dashboard
• Modification: You can edit or delete your labels and tagged items at any time
• Deletion: You can delete your FolderPls account, which will remove all stored metadata. Your Google Drive files will remain unaffected.
• Revoke Access: You can revoke FolderPls access to your Google Drive at any time through your Google Account settings

6. Cookies and Tracking

FolderPls uses Firebase Authentication, which may use cookies for session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics that track your behavior across other websites.

7. Children's Privacy

FolderPls is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of FolderPls after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
